Previous Use of Steroids and Your Fertility

The first question I ask any of my patients is if they have used Steroids before, and those who have worked with me already will know how much I ask and ask!

Steroids are such a block to your healing that I can now instantly tell at my patient's follow-up whether they have forgotten they have used steroids in the past.

Steroids can come in many forms and under many different names and brands that you might not even realise you have had them. If you have had any acne or skin creams from the doctor, this most likely was a steroid. Other more obvious uses of steroids are asthma pumps as a child, injections for painful joints, after an allergic reaction, or from bodybuilding.

If you have been through IVF then you most likely were given steroids as part of your treatment.

The results I see from a Homeopathic Detox of Steroids are mind-blowing, I have seen endometriosis improve so drastically, that period pain improved so much that painkillers were no longer needed during menstruation.

How do Steroids Affect Fertility?

Steroids are made of testosterone, one of the fertility hormones and this creates an imbalance in the delicate ecosystem of hormones. If you are struggling with PCOS which is a testosterone imbalance and have used steroids, this could be the cause.

One of the biggest causes of infertility in men is previous use of steroids, which cause a decrease in sperm motility and quantity, a Homeopathic Detox of Steroids can help to balance the testosterone so the body can produce healthy sperm again.

The listed side effects of steroids are huge…

  • Acne
  • Blurred vision
  • Cataracts or glaucoma
  • Easy bruising
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • High blood pressure
  • Increased appetite, weight gain
  • Increased growth of body hair
  • Insomnia
  • Lower resistance to infection
  • Muscle weakness
  • Nervousness, restlessness
  • Osteoporosis
  • Stomach irritation or bleeding
  • Sudden mood swings
  • Swollen, puffy face
  • Water retention, swelling
  • Worsening of diabetes

I also see low energy as a big side effect of previous use of steroids.

If you have been trying to conceive for some time and have a history of using steroids, please get in touch to discuss your case with me…
